Most domain suffixes allow you to renew on the due date or after to ensure that the domain remains in your ownership but some registries do not.
We've compiled a list of those which you are required to renew the domain
before the expiry date to prevent the domain being deleted or entering redemption (of which there is a fee to pay to renew, plus the renewal).
We will attempt to send invoices out based on the registry rules, i.e if the registry requires you to renew the domain before the current expiry date, your invoice will be due before then. You'll need to ensure you make payment in line with the registries cut off point otherwise you may
forfeit the domain or have to
pay additional fees to get it back.
- .eu - renewal is required 3 days before the expiry date.
- .li - renewal is required 1 day before the expiry date.
- .ch - renewal is required 1 day before the expiry date.
- .at - renewal is required 3 days before the expiry date.
Over time this list will increase and we recommend that you review it regularly but to note, this is not an exhaustive list and invoices will be sent earlier for any other TLD/ccTLDs that we are aware of so timely renewal is advised.
